60 days or more before arrival: full refund. Between 59 and 30 days: 50% refund. Fewer than 30 days before arrival, or leaving early: no refund. Full detail is in our Terms & House Rules.
Get in touch as soon as you can — we'll do what we're able to, though changes can't always be guaranteed once a stay is confirmed.
Yes — 90% of the total is due on confirmation, with the remaining balance due 30 days before arrival, plus the tourist tax and security deposit on arrival. Payment is by bank transfer (SEPA) or credit card.
Yes. Our minimum stay is 4 nights, and long-stay discounts are available beyond that — just ask when you enquire.
It's set by Bohinj Municipality, not by us — currently €2.50 per adult per night. Children aged 7–18 pay half that, and children under 7 stay free. It's collected on arrival, alongside the security deposit.
Check-in is after 15:00 on the day of arrival; check-out is by 10:00, with a different time possible by prior arrangement with us.
Yes, by prior arrangement — one pet maximum, small to medium size, and a pet fee applies. Please ask before you book.
Yes, free parking for two cars right outside the cabin.
Up to five guests across three bedrooms — a king bed with balcony access, a double with a desk, and two singles — plus 1.5 bathrooms and a fully equipped self-catering kitchen.
The nearest airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik (LJU), about an hour's drive. Ljubljana itself is roughly 80km away, and Lake Bled about 35km. See Contact for the exact address and a map.
The staircase to the upstairs bedrooms is original to the building and steep — please look through the gallery before booking if you're at all unsure, especially for young children or anyone with limited mobility. You may also notice the scent of old timber indoors; that's the building's age, not a defect, and a dehumidifier is provided for spells of heavy rain.
Snowfall in Ukanc can be significant. The driveway and immediate property area are cleared before you arrive, and we leave snow shovels and grit for use during your stay. If you'd like regular clearing while you're here, we can put you in touch with a local service (around €25/hour). In periods of heavy snow or ice the driveway may not be passable — if so, there's a paid public car park five minutes' walk away.
Free Wi-Fi throughout, and a smart TV you can log into your own streaming accounts on. The cabin's built-in aerial only picks up local Slovenian channels — no cable or international channels.
